Plan to arrive by Wednesday afternoon, October 13. Festivities will unfold over the following three days, in the tradition of an Indian wedding.
Aurika crowns its own hilltop in the Aravalli hills just outside Udaipur. It is a modern palace in the old Mewar spirit, its carved arches and marble courtyards drawn from the City Palace and the Lake Palace.
Guests arrive through a bastion gate named Antara, which means "to pause." That is the plan: a few unhurried days together above the City of Lakes.
We recommend flying out on Saturday, October 9 and returning home on Saturday, October 16, leaving Sunday to recover before the week begins.
That means taking Monday through Friday off that week. Monday, October 11 is Columbus Day, so you may already have it off.
Fly into Delhi, then connect within India to Udaipur (there is no international airport in Udaipur). It's a lovely excuse to see Delhi on the way.
Flights open for booking around November 2026, and mid-October is peak season in India (Diwali falls on October 29), so book early once they do.
For those traveling from Gujarat, a road trip is the easiest way to get to the venue.
For those traveling from Bangalore, a short flight is the way to go.
